Cambridge Lauretes Program
Introduction
The Cambridge International Academy AP Laureate's Program is designed for highly motivated and academically oriented students. This program enriches the Ontario curriculum by introducing university-level material and prepares students for senior-level AP courses. Students have the opportunity to earn university credits and gain advanced placement in their chosen fields of study.
Program Structure
AP Courses that are taken in class, alongside Ontario Curriculum are formatted in a such a way that the first 70 hours of instruction cover the Ontario Curriculum material with the remainder of the term covering AP content in class with after school support. This accelerated learning plan helps improve time management, improve study habits and personal responsibility.
Grade 9: Foundation Year

Course: AP Human Geography

Objective: Introduce students to the AP curriculum and help them adjust to university-level coursework.

Focus: Develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a global perspective.
Grade 10: Building Knowledge

Course: AP Modern History

Objective: Continue to build on the skills acquired in Grade 9 and prepare students for more specialized AP courses.

Focus: Enhance analytical skills and deepen understanding of historical contexts and their impact on the modern world.
Grades 11 and 12: Specialized Pathways
Students choose their pathways based on their interests and career goals, leading to AP exams that can earn them university credits.
