A Strong Foundation for a Lifetime of Learning.

From Grade 1 through Grade 6, every Cambridge student begins their journey on a customized path — built around curiosity, character, and confidence.

"We are not just shaping students for today; we are empowering them for a lifetime of achievement, growth, and character development." — Sandra Arff, M.Ed., School Principal

Cambridge International Academy's elementary program is where our four pillars — Academics, Beyond the Curriculum, Parent Partnership, and Professional Teachers — take root, laying the academic and personal foundation that carries every student forward into high school and beyond.

Individualized Learning

Most elementary programs move every student through the same material at the same pace. We do the opposite.

At Cambridge, elementary education starts with getting to know each child — their pace, their interests, and how they learn best.

From there, our teachers build a learning experience that stretches students appropriately, celebrates their individuality, and keeps parents closely informed every step of the way.

Individual Student Plans
No two students follow the same path here. Every student's Four-Year High School Plan is built around their specific university and career goals — and it stays flexible. As interests shift or new opportunities open up, the plan evolves with them, guided every step by their teacher counsellor.

Our Reading Program

We believe reading is the foundation of every other academic skill. Students set personal monthly reading goals — 2 novels per month, 20 minutes of daily reading — tracked jointly by teachers and parents. Students who meet their goals earn a Reader Champion Certificate, reinforcing reading as something to be proud of, not just a requirement.

Character Education & Co-Curricular Growth

Academics are only part of the picture. Elementary students take part in weekly co-curricular clubs — from Art, Chess, and Coding to Robotics and Master Chef — alongside dedicated Character Education sessions that build responsibility, kindness, and confidence. Combined with monthly field trips connecting classroom lessons to real-world experiences, students graduate our elementary program with more than knowledge — they graduate with character.

Preparing for the Path Ahead

By Grade 8, many Cambridge students are ready to take on Reach Ahead Credits — high school courses completed early, giving them a head start before Grade 9 even begins. It's proof that the foundation built in Grades 1–6 doesn't just prepare students for the next grade — it prepares them for the next decade.

Strong Parent Partnership

Elementary education works best as a partnership. Parents stay connected through monthly Parent Council meetings, the Remind App for daily real-time communication, and our monthly Family Newsletter, keeping every family informed and involved in school life.
